Happy 7th Birthday Carson!

Carson turned 7 on September 10th. I can't believe my baby is 7! He is growing up so fast! My mom came into town for his birthday as well as a Grandparent Tea at school. He was so excited all weekend. We took cupcakes to his class, went out to dinner at Applebee's, Carson's favorite place, took Carson min golfing with his friend Cole and then went to the Balloon Races. It was a very full few days and we are glad that he had a good time.

Carson is in the 2nd grade and is doing so well. He is in the top reading level in his class and is learning to love to read. He has a great teacher and is really enjoying school this year. His favorite games at recess are kick ball and of course football. He is starting to make more and more friends and is just a happy little kid for the most part.
He started flag football this week and is so anxious for me to come watch him. Silly me-- I didn't realize I needed to be at his practices since his daddy is coaching him. He will find out what team he is on during practice on Friday and can hardly wait.
Our primary program is Sunday and Carson is busy practicing his part. We'll see if he actually sings or not. Usually, he likes to stand there and people watch, even though I know he knows the words. Goofy kid!
One of the things Carson wanted for his birthday was an alarm clock. He sets his alarm every night and usually wakes up before it goes off, but he loves it all the same! He is still into Star Wars and has recently discovered the website club penguin. He and his friend Cole are like girls with it. They call each other and talk while playing the game together. It cracks me up. I have to tell him to get off of the phone several times. He discovered Shrinky Dinks for his birthday and has had a great time coloring and figuring them out.
Carson can be a great big brother. He and Tucker love to play together and even he and Hallie at times. He is a great help around the house, always getting me things or putting them away, or entertaining Tucker so that I can get things done. The two boys share a room and at night, after we have put them to bed, we can hear them laughing and giggling together.
He got several checks for his birthday and I was so proud of him. I gave him the option of cashing them and going to buy a toy, putting it in savings, or a combination of both. We opened a savings account about a month ago for him and he chose to put it all in savings. He has almost $200 now. Way to go Carson!
It's hard to believe how big Carson is getting. It seems like just yesterday that he was Tucker's age and learning to run around. Maybe that's because Tucker is like a deja vu of Carson in looks. Either way, he is getting so grown up and we are so proud of him for everything that he does!
