Derrick had to work on Valentine's, but we did get to go to our ward Dessert Extravaganza Friday night. It was so much fun, with lots of food and friends to visit with. The kids got to come and play with all of their friends as well. We had a great time!
Since Derrick was working on Valentine's Day, we took the kids to breakfast at IHOP (a very happening place that day!). I took the kids to Carson's friend Zekie's birthday party-- where Zekie ended up with a skull fracture and bleeding on the brain. We ended up helping finish up the party and cleaning up while they took him to the hospital where he stayed over night. It was a very unique Valentine's, but we are happy to report that Zekie is doing much better and is expected to fully recover!
