Tucker is here!

Tucker Thomas Munro arrived Friday 8/8/08 at 12:47 a.m. It was a very different labor for me. I was admitted to the hospital at 11:30 am on Thursday, dilated to a 5 and having contractions every 4-5 minutes. They gave me my epidural and then were going to break my water. My doctor admitted 6 of us within 1 hour and the other 5 were at the hopsital across town. We kept waiting for her to come--- and waiting and waiting! After my epidural, my contractions stalled and then were all over the place-- not consistent at all. The doctor didn't arrive until 10:00 pm-- after 2 emergency c-sections and 1 delivery where the baby was in distress. She broke my water and my contractions still didn't get very consitent, so about 11:30 they started me on ptossin. Tucker was born a little more than an hour later.

He is such a good baby! He hardly cries at all. It is so bizarre to have such a healthy, happy baby. He eats really well and even poops regularly. We have had problems with both of our other kids in those regards. Neither of them slept very well either, due to different problems. It really makes us appreciate Tucker. We realize what a blessing it is to have a healthy baby and are trying not to take it for granted, especially after all we went through with Hallie. It was a scary pregnancy, with a lot of complications and the whole time we were worried whether we would have a healthy baby. I had so many blessings throughout the pregnancy, just to get through it, but I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. We have truly been blessed by this little angel!
